2017 BMW 340i Tune Gains:

We’ve been around the block more than a few times with a 2017 BMW 340i tune.  The B58 engine that is found inside this vehicle is used in dozens of other models, even branching out into the A90 Toyota Supra.  As the platform progresses further and further, Cedar Performance remains at the bleeding edge of progression.

Additionally with the expansion of EcuTek platform into the BMW world, dozens of Mitsubishi, Nissan, and Subaru tuners have gone into business on the platform. While there’s absolutely nothing wrong with a little competition, we certainly love a good race, it’s best to do some research before you back a horse.

When it comes to trusting a company with your software and as such your engine we think it’s best to trust the guys that have been doing it longer than EcuTek, not the guys that do it because of EcuTek.

How do I get a 2017 BMW 340i Tune?

What do I need to tune my 2017 BMW 340i?

Cedar Performance. We are all you need. We are capable of tuning for whatever modifications you may have. While some clients are bone stock and looking to make the most of race gas, others have built engines, upgraded hybrid turbos, upgraded single turbos with mac solenoids, etc. Ultimately, Cedar Performance will sort out the calibration. We work inside or outside of all tuning platforms, provided they do not limit us from editing the tables we desire.

Can my 2017 BMW 340i run E85?

From the factory, your 2017 BMW 340i is not equipped to run full E85, but with a Cedar Performance Tune you absolutely can.  That being said, just because you can run full E85, should you? The factory fuel system has it’s limitations, and if you are looking to make the most power you can on the stock turbo and stock fuel system, you will want to run an ethanol blend. Will my 2017 BMW 340i Tune have Map Switching?

Provided you have a Bootmod3/MHD License and your ROM is supported, Cedar Performance is happy to calibrate multiple maps for use with the on-the-fly map switching logic.  Generally speaking, Map Switching is used for things such as:

• High/Low Boost Settings
• Antilag/Burble Adjustments
• Flex Fuel Enabled/Disabled
• Octane Adjustments (Pump vs Race Gas, E85 vs C85)

Can I run a Motiv Reflex Controller on my 2017 BMW 340i?

Absolutely.  Currently, MOTIV’s Reflex Controller is by far the most robust slave controller available on the market, and it integrates perfectly in a 340i.

Slave controllers are used to support supplementary systems such as Port Injection, Relay-Triggered Secondary Fuel Pumps, Nitrous, and Methanol, as well as large, externally gated single turbo setups.

We are already well versed in the functionality of the Reflex as well as it’s various configurations.  Regardless of  what modifications you tie into the reflex on your 2017 BMW 340i, we’ll provide the calibration necessary for proper operation.

Will my 2017 BMW 340i Tune support Flex Fuel?

If the vehicle is equipped with a Flex Fuel Sensor and Analyzer such as the one offered by the Bootmod3 Team, Cedar Performance can utilize this hardware in combination with Bootmod3 or MHD’s Custom Rom to develop true and proper Flex Fuel Control as seen in the graphic below. These flex fuel calibrations are full and complete torque scaling calibrations. Our calibrations have 100% proper utilization of fuel, ignition, and torque factoring tables to give consistent yet maximized performance for all contents of ethanol. Details discussed below.

Can I use Antilag with my 2017 BMW 340i tune?

Yes, this is no problem.  Again, inside of the Bootmod3, MHD, and Ecutek platforms, these features are no problem to implement.

Antilag can create as much as 26 PSI during activation, giving you full torque immediately upon launch, during a roll.

Additionally, antilag can be manipulated and controlled to provide excellent pre-charging of boost in the corners in a circuit race.
