Mail-in or a Dallas appointment
For supported ECUs, you can ship your controller to Cedar from elsewhere in the US. Contact us first to confirm compatibility and removal and shipping arrangements.
TCUs can be housed inside the transmission, making removal and shipping impractical. Tell us about your vehicle before arranging any removal so we can confirm how the service can be carried out.
AutoTuner’s “Mail-In Unlock” label describes a specific processing method. Cedar’s ECU mail-in options also cover other supported unlock methods.

BMW OBD Unlock Coverage
For eligible DME8/DDE8 Bosch ECUs, the OBD-capable unlock is handled as a mail-in ECU service. Cedar confirms the actual controller before intake. Supported controller families include MD1CP002, MD1CP032, MD1CS001, MG1CS003, MG1CS024, MG1CS049, MG1CS201. DME9 applications, including 2024+ S68 and 2025+ Vitesco B58 Gen 3, are excluded.
